ETA: My baby is six months old and definitively not a boy. But I still wanted to put up all these pregnancy posts, as written, so I’m scheduling them to post twice a week for the month.


I am still holding on to the last residuals of my abs for dear life. You can see my lats and a tiiiiiiiiiny little bit of the six pack I used to have up at the top.

My body has adapted well to pregnancy. I am still strong, I am still maintaining my fitness through workouts 2x a week and sometimes getting a lot of walking in.

But truth be told, I do not have a workout regime. I always thought I’d be one of those mega fit women who dedicates themselves to staying in shape during the 9 months they have an alien invader in their body, and then invariably pops right back into fighting form the day after the baby is on the outside.

That is not me.

I have taken it easy.

I have done what I need to do in order to survive a rigorous travel schedule, owning a gym, wedding photography and creating a human life.

There isn’t a lot of space for the time and energy required for working out in that schedule.

Thankfully, I can say my hard work getting into the best shape of my life over the past 4 years, has paid off. Thanks to the wonderful concept of celular and muscular memory, my body has resisted and managed to maintain even with minimal amounts of training.

I don’t look like a fitness model, by any stretch of the imagination, but my baby is strong and healthy, I feel strong and healthy, I look good, and I’ve kept the weight gain to a reasonable amount so far. The third trimester is much harder as the baby grows quickly and you retain more and more liquid, but I’m feeling ok.
